Safety Whitcher Builders will perform all construction work in a manner that result in quality workmanship and, at the same time, control the possibility of injury to our employees and to the general public. We will adhere to applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations, as a minimum and will take necessary precautions to control damage to adjoining property, to our equipment and to property on the construction site. All officers, management personnel and employees will actively participate in meeting this commitment. We firmly believe in the total loss control concept. The following aspects will be considered in our day-to-day activities:

and health Whitcher
Builders strives to maintain a safe workplace and to employ
safety-conscious workers. This
is monitored by monthly site inspections by the company safety officer
and daily inspections by the site superintendent.
The site superintendent also conducts a safety meeting each week
addressing safety topics specific to that job site. We recognize that
the responsibilities for total loss control are shared.
Management, line supervision, employees and subcontractors shall
accept specific responsibilities relating to loss control. Management
shall be responsible for the development of activities designed to
maintain the total loss control concept.
Management shall accept responsibility for the following
activities:

Provide education
and training to personnel at all levels of the company Line
supervision (superintendents and foremen) performs a key role in our
loss control activities. Superintendents
and foremen shall accept responsibility for the following activities:

Conduct job site
inspections on a regular basis to identify and correct job site hazards Employees
will observe all company policies and regulations. Subcontractors
shall conform to all safety and health regulations, including 29 CFR
Part 1926, as a minimum, and all company safety and health regulations.
They shall establish appropriate safety and health inspections
for jobs being performed under their control.
All subcontractors shall provide positive proof of insurance as
indicated in the terms and conditions of the contract. These
responsibilities of management, line supervision, employees, and
subcontractors constitute our total loss control concept.
A commitment is required by all parties so that our goal of a
“continuous reduction of incidents likely to produce injury or
property damage” is achieved. |
